Kim Somboon

Kim is a first-year undergraduate studying Biomedical Engineering in the Molecular-Cellular track at the University of Southern California. Originally from Bangkok, Thailand, she is interested in applying molecular and cellular engineering approaches to better understand disease and improve patient care, with a particular focus on women’s reproductive health. As a pre-medical student, she hopes to integrate scientific research with clinical practice and contribute to more patient-centered and accessible healthcare systems. At USC, she is involved with the Associated Students of Biomedical Engineering (ASBME) and the American Cancer Society (ACS). She also hopes to expand her involvement in health advocacy efforts in the future. Outside of academics, she enjoys Pilates, golf, and reading fantasy books.
