Isabella Ambeliz is a second year Chemical Engineering student with an interest in the biological and pharmaceutical side of her field. She joined the MAD Lab to gain hands-on research experience and explore how chemical engineering can be applied to solving challenges in medicine and drug development. Isabella enjoys learning how chemistry and biology intersect to create real-world impact in healthcare.

Outside of academics, she’s involved in the Society of Women Engineers, the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers, the First-Generation Student Assembly, and a campus run club. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, Isabella loves problem-solving and taking on new challenges. In her free time, she enjoys running, watching movies and TV shows, shopping, and spending time with her friends and family.
