Emily Herbert

Emily Herbert earned her bachelor’s in Biomedical Engineering from Northern Illinois University with minors in Public Health, Electrical Engineering, and Piano Performance. She has worked on various projects including a noninvasive infant hearing aid, a mechanically accurate bladder phantom, and a dual tocodynamometer and fetal heart rate monitor. Her area of interest is women’s and children’s health wearable medical devices intended for low-resource settings across the globe.

In her free time she loves to spend time with her two bunnies and cat. Emily loves playing piano, roller skating, and reading, so if you have any book recommendations send them her way. Also, she is very excited to be so close to the beach after toughing the Midwest winters in Chicago!
