MADLab outreach to Navajo Technical University
Maral, Victor, Ali, and Abdulrahman spent three days in New Mexico with students at Navajo Technical University (NTU). They taught the students a range of different electrochemical techniques for low-cost device development, including yarn-based potentiometry and laser-induced graphene fabriction.
The Native American population in New Mexico faces many public health challenges. This trip was designed to empower these students to develop their own technology, overcoming the historical distrust and economic challenges normally associated with the Native American population.
